Housing Law
English law is quite unique, when compared to non-commonwealth countries. English law is primarily made up of case law, which is judicially created law using cases that are presented before the courts. However parliament, was representatives of the people, have supreme authority over the law and so legislation takes precedent over judge made, common law.
Due to the social importance of housing, landlord-tenant law has been widely put into legislation.
